College Planning
The college experience is not what most parents expect or anything close to what they themselves went through. . Applying for, getting into, and paying for college has changed dramatically in the last 20 years. We find families are underprepared for one of the biggest investments of their lives. This leads to unnecessary stress and families paying much more for college than is necessary.
One of central goals for the parents we work with is to give their student’s a debt free start to their working years.
The College Planning Process revolves around the intersection of both the Student’s and Parent’s goals. The process the family goes through comprises of the following:
Match Qualifications to Colleges
Prep for College Admissions
Gain Self Awareness
Matching the right college choices to your student is critical to not over paying for college. Using your student's GPA, standardized test scores and strength of their high school curriculum combined with their Student Positioning process results, we assess what colleges your student should consider targeting.
When students understand their strengths, personality type, and learning styles, they can choose an appropriate career and be more effective in college.
Done properly, the student will have choices that are very good fits for their talents where they will thrive and if the college is a merit based school, the student may receive awards regardless of the family’s financial situation.
